The identity system
Brand foundations.
The wordmark, the seal, the lockup, the timeline, motion, colour, voice — the rules that keep the name’s promise legible everywhere the brand appears.
01 · The wordmark
The wordmark
Same. Day. Paid. — compressed to eight letters, spoken in three beats. day and paid fold into each other across the middle of the word; the seam falls at same · da · id. The wordmark’s one job is to keep that seam visible. It is never set in a single flat weight.
A · Weight shift
PrimarySemibold beats, a light join. Survives one-colour reproduction unchanged — the seam lives in the strokes. Signs everywhere the brand appears at size: nav, letterhead, packaging.
B · Tonal steps
Digital onlyOne cognac ramp, three steps, dark to light in reading order. For digital surfaces where colour is guaranteed — hero, app chrome, email header. Never reproduced in one ink.
C · Baseline beats
Degradation pathA hairline under each beat, a breath of air at the joins. The quietest device — and the skeleton of the fallback: it survives embroidery, engraving, thermal print.
The fallback
currentColorOne colour, one weight, baseline beats in currentColor — designed, not defaulted. For embroidery, favicons, thermal shipping labels, engraving. Flat without the beat rules is treated as a misspelling.
Recommendation
A leads. It is typographic, one-colour safe, and reads as concierge rather than fintech. B is the expressive variant where colour is certain. C is not a variant — it is the degradation path, and it becomes the fallback. Flat without the beat rules is treated as a misspelling.
- Lowercase always; a capital only in running prose.
- Beats never letterspaced apart — one word, one breath.
- Embroidery: single thread; beats become stitched bars ≥ 1.5 mm.
02 · The seal
The seal
The seal, for below 18 px: d. — the shared letter, full stop. Favicon, app tile, wax stamp.
03 · The expanded lockup
Same.Day.Paid.
The expanded lockup
Three lines, three hard stops. The lockup is the wordmark at full explanation — the same object at two levels. It teaches the name at first touch: hero, packaging insert, the first email.
Teach with the lockup, sign with the wordmark — never both at equal size.
04 · The timeline — the honesty component
Four steps, one claim
Payment lands the day the bag arrives and clears authentication — not the day you submit. Because the name itself makes the claim, the timeline travels with the brand: wherever the wordmark or lockup appears at full size, this sits beside it. It is the element that converts a bold name into a verifiable promise.
Full
variant="full" detail · hero bands, offer screensFull, on the colophon ground
variant="full" dark detail · capture screen, dark surfacesCompact
variant="compact" · nav bars, footers, email signaturesIn progress
active={2} detail={false} · the waiting screen — completed beats fill- Never truncated. The fourth step is the claim; the first three are the proof.
- One line at ≥ 520 px; the full variant carries detail lines, the compact never does.
- No countdown chrome, no pulsing — it is a statement of fact, not a stopwatch.
05 · Motion
Nothing fades in. Everything arrives.
The name’s rhythm is the system. Flows run in three steps. Layouts break in three columns. Progress shows three stages. And motion lands one beat at a time, with a hard stop — nothing on this site fades in. Everything arrives.
Banned: fades, parallax, auto-playing carousels, pulsing badges, countdown pressure.
06 · Colour — cognac, not gold
Color is drawn, not poured.
Accent ramp · cognac
Neutral ramp
Grounds & structure
The accent is drawn, not poured: rules, ticks, dots, figures. Text-scale accent takes the 700 step. Fills stay off the page — the fastest way to look like a pawn shop is a big warm button. No neon, no urgency banners, no “cash now” register, ever.
